Director’s Message and Profile
Shri Vaishnav Institute of Science is a new institute under Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya formed in 2016. The institute started with graduate and post- graduate programs in physical sciences and later added graduate programs in biological sciences. The institute aims to impart latest developments and applications of science through its courses. The curriculum of all courses has been designed on the UGC guidelines incorporating skill development courses in the graduate programs and laboratory based projects in the post-graduate programs. The institute emphasizes on quality education and endeavors to expand in terms of additional value based courses that would add to the students’ progress.
The institute has a research center of excellence in plasma research. Interdisciplinary research projects have been initiated using this facility starting with a project on plasma-biology. The institute encourages research activities in the intra-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary areas of science. Several research projects have been submitted to National Funding agencies and the research activities are expected to expand into several areas in due course.
