Shri Vaishnav Institute of Agriculture is a constituent institution of Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya, a state private university established under Madhya Pradesh Niji Vishwavidyalaya (Sthapana Avam Sanchalan) Adhiniyam in 2015 at Indore, Madhya Pradesh (India). Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya at Indore is a multi-disciplinary university focusing on the needs of various segments of society.
Shri Vaishnav Institute of Agriculture was started in the year 2018 and commenced conducting classes of first year of four years bachelors programme (Honors) in agriculture from the academic session 2018-19 leading to the degree of B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture. Students are imparted teaching and training in theory besides hands on experience as well as honing skills to ensure world class quality and create higher levels of intellectual abilities in them.
Shri Vaishnav Institute of Agriculture hosts the Centre of Vocational Studies, which imparts training in organic farming, mushroom cultivation and bee keeping, naming a few.
The Institute has started post graduate and doctoral programs in agriculture/horticulture also. The detail of these is shown under “Program” section of the institute’s page.
All UG, PG and Doctoral programs are regular, offline, day boarding/residential. And 75% physical attendance is compulsory, the syllabi is as per the guidelines of ICAR, New Delhi.

The institute is equally concerned about the overall behavior and discipline of students along with their academic progress. The institute therefore expects the students to conduct themselves, both inside and outside the campus, in such a manner that they will prove their worth and create an impact on the betterment of the institute and the society. Any charge of misconduct by students/scholars in any manner in the campus or outside the campus will be handled by the University Disciplinary Committee/ Block disciplinary committee as constituted by the Vice-Chancellor, which would conduct a detailed enquiry.
All the Students and Research Scholars of the institute are expected to behave politely towards the teaching and administrative staff and exchange greetings with them.
Misbehavior towards students of the opposite gender, use of threat or violence against members of the staff or fellow students will be considered as very serious cases of misconduct.
All the students should keep the university premises clean. Do not put any waste anywhere in the campus except in the dust bins.
Every student shall wear their identity cards, a clean and decent dress for all the classes and events that will be organized by the institute.
Smoking, consumption of alcoholic drinks and any such illegal activities (i.e; playing cards, gambling of any kind) are strictly prohibited in the university premises.
Students are not permitted to arrange any unauthorized celebrations and decorations of any magnitude in the campus.
Students are expected to maintain silence in the academic buildings to maintain the decorum and, any deviant behavior such as hooting, whistling, loitering and such others will be treated as an instance of indiscipline.
Students immediately inform the disciplinary committee/faculty if any damage caused to equipment/machinery/appliances. The damage charges will be recovered by the college from the concerned student/students.
The disciplinary committee shall have full power to inflict the following punishments in the interest of the students and of the institution. Fine, loss of attendance, loss of Term Certificate, suspension and expulsion (only after considering the explanation if any, received from the student or his parent or guardian in the matter).
All the students should go to their respective classes and be in their seat before the lecturer enters the classroom.
Use of mobile phones and any kind of improper activity is strictly prohibited during lectures.
Students coming late should not enter the classroom without the permission of the lecturer.
No student is allowed to leave the classroom without the permission of the lecturer.
Students habitually coming late to the class are subject to disciplinary action as the committee may take against them.
Harassing juniors, ill treatment to other fellow students or any such form of ragging are objectionable and liable to be treated as criminal offence by the law enforcing agencies as per the directives of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. Students will refrain from ragging of any kind and those who violate this rule will be instantly suspended from the institution.
