Shri Vaishnav Institute of Home Science is a new institute under Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya. This university at Indore is a multi-disciplinary university focusing on the needs of various segments of the society.

Shri Vaishnav Institute of Home Science has started in the year 2020. This institute offers dual degree program for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition. 

The programme in Food and Nutrition is designed to impart training and skills to the students in  major areas of Food and Nutrition specializations along with knowledge & skills necessary for understanding the role of Food Science in achieving better nutrition for individuals and for communities.

The vision and mission of the department is to create world class committed Food Science and Nutrition professionals, Nutrition Counselors, Dieticians and Public Health Consultants who can contribute meaningfully to the social, economic and health development of the country. 

Towards this mission our goals are to determinedly update and enrich our academic programme, expand our network with other institutions, establish collaborations and explore all avenues for extension.
